Tips for Storing Fresh Juice in Glass Containers

Freshly made juice is a healthy way to consume a variety of fruits and vegetables. However, storing juice improperly can lead to loss of nutrients and even contamination. Here are some tips for storing fresh juice in glass containers:

JUICE GLASS BOTTLE    Juice Bottle

Choose Glass Containers: Glass bottles and jars are the best juice containers as they are airtight and do not contain harmful chemicals like plastic containers. While plastic is lightweight and cheap, it can leak chemicals into your juice and is not completely airtight, leading to faster oxidation.

Be Prepared: Refrigerate your juicer before use and plan how much juice you will need for up to three days to avoid overproduction. This will keep your juice at a temperature that inhibits bacterial growth and extends its shelf life.

Remove Pulp: Pour your freshly made juice into a glass container as close to the top as possible and filter out the pulp to prevent browning from leftover cellulose.

Fill and Seal: Use a glass bottle or jar to fill, leaving as little space as possible between the juice and the top of the container to force out air. This will help prevent oxidation and loss of nutrients.

Label and Store: Label your glass container with the contents and date of your juice, especially if you are making different mixtures. Store your juice in the refrigerator and consume within three days for maximum freshness and health benefits.

Don’t Freeze Your Juice: While freezing may seem like a good idea for extending shelf life, it can actually ruin the taste and texture of your juice. Refrigeration is the best option for storing fresh juice.

By following these tips, you can ensure your fresh juice stays fresh, healthy, and delicious for up to three days.
